HUSKIE MUSKIE ANGLERS HAD ANOTHER RECORD YEAR IN 1996 Nine of the huskie muskies taken in 1996 measured 50 inches or
more
FINDLAY, Ohio - Information collected for the Ohio Division of
Wildlife by the Ohio Huskie Muskie Club shows anglers had another
record year in 1996 by catching 1,674 trophy-sized muskies, which
represent fish measuring 30 inches or more. Among this total were
187 "huskie muskies", or fish measuring 42 inches or more.

![]() The top lakes where huskie muskies were caught last year include Leesville - 41; West Branch - 31; Piedmont - 29; Clear Fork - 27; and Milton - 18. There were 14 huskie muskies taken in Ohio's rivers and streams, including six from Rocky Fork Creek in southwest Ohio.
