 Mitchell® 308X Spinning Reel

Following the Success of the 300X And Meeting Consumer Demand

SPIRIT LAKE, IOWA - Anglers patiently waited and last year were rewarded with the reintroduction of the Mitchell 300X spinning reel. With rave reviews, the 300X exceeded all expectations. The lighter action Mitchell 308 was also one of the most popular spinning reels ever created and the heritage continues with the introduction of the new Mitchell 308X.

The 308X follows the lead of the 300X incorporating the traditional styling of the original and the enhanced improvements allowed by today's reel technology.  The sleek and modem lightweight graphite body design includes a five-bearing drive for the smoothest and most reliable performance and a worm gear oscillation that provides perfect line winding after each cast.

No more line tangles on the main shaft; the aluminum spool with line keeper is skirted. The revolutionary new patented cartridge spool system makes spool changing a snap. A simple twist of the spool removes it from the reel and a new spool can be added just as easily. no knobs to turn or buttons to push.

The new Mitchell 308X has the capacity to be spooled 160 yds of 6 lb test monofilament line.

Match a Mitchell 308X spinning reel to that favorite high quality Fenwick or Berkley spinning rod to complete the ensemble.

Features include:

Five drive bearings,

Instant Anti-Reverse,

Aluminum skirted spool,

Patented cartridge spool system,

Reversible aluminum handle,
