Quantum Accurist "Burner" Baitcast Reels Now in fresh and saltwater series When someone describes the new Accurist AC570PT as “smokin’ hot,” it’s hard to tell whether the description is for its great-looks or blistering high-speed retrieve because this reel has both. This newest addition to the long-popular Accurist family gets Quantum PT’s now-famous 7.0:1 gear ratio, perhaps better known to many anglers as simply – the Burner.
The AC570PT, like all Accurist PT baitcasters, is built with a tough CNC machined aluminum frame and sports an all aluminum crank-side cover for improved strength and durability. Cast control is the new ACS II technology, and the reel comes with a hybrid polymer-stainless 5-bearing system and extra hard PT gearing, kept in pristine working condition by Quantum’s patented Hot Sauce lubrication.
Other features of the Quantum Burner include Zero-play Continuous Anti-reverse, titanium-coated line guide and Ceramic Zirconia levelwind system. There’s also the Maxcast skeletal spool, Super Free Spool pinion design and a flippin’ switch.
Good news for the saltwater anglers, too. The Burner model is now also available in the Accurist PTs family, with “s” standing for saltwater. The new AC570PTs comes with the 7.0:1 gear ratio, plus Quantum’s exclusive 6-layer Saltgard corrosion protection finish and a corrosion-proof stainless crank shaft and handle.

Quantum Tour Edition spinning reels Top-of-the-line Series The Tour Edition spinning, the all-new, top-of-the-line spinning reel introduction for Quantum. There are four models to choose from – sizes 10, 20, 30 and 40 – and each features 12 hybrid polymer-stainless Performance Tuned (PT) bearings, a redesigned Line Management System (LMS) and a lightweight skeletal titanium handle.
The special bearings are from the same technology used for large turbine aircraft engines, providing a super-high performance and the ultimate protection against corrosion. The new LMS ensures that the line is precisely directed onto the line roller to reduce line twist. The skeletal handle adds strength but reduces overall weight.
Tour Edition’s bail system is TiMAG III, the third generation of Quantum’s exclusive Titanium bail with magnetic bail trip. With it comes a more focused magnetic flux, providing improved trip reliability, a quicker trip point and a 30-degree greater bail opening for decreased line slap and increased casting distance.
Along with the new design and features also come the best of the standard PT characteristics that have indeed made Energy PT such a popular choice of so many for so long. For example, there’s the ThinLine aluminum body and side cover, extra-hard PT gears, MAGLOK II magnetic continuous anti-reverse and titanium vacuum deposition coating. The drag is Quantum’s proven and time-tested multi-stack ceramic drag system.
Gear ratio for the smallest model, the 10 size, is 5.3:1. All others have 5.2:1 gear ratios. Their stunning finishes are scratch resistant, meaning they’ll look as good as they fish for a long time.

SuperLite for a super fight Quantum, long known as a reel company, has been turning heads with its rod development, too. After all, who wouldn’t pay attention to Quantum PT Signature Series rods bearing the names and custom actions of some of the country’s hottest bass anglers, including Kevin VanDam, Greg Hackney and Gerald Swindle, just to name a few.
Well, heads are more likely to be spinning than turning with Quantum’s new SuperLite PT rods. But don’t confuse SuperLite with ultralight because the two couldn’t be any farther apart. SuperLite PT is part of the Performance Tuned family, and “tuned” is an excellent way to describe each of the 18 casting and spinning models found in the series made for some serious fishing.
These HSX72 hi-strain graphite rods have custom actions built for specific uses ranging from dropshotting to large swimbaits. But it’s the design that sets SuperLite apart from the pack. For starters, there is no foregrip so the rods look different even before you pick one up. The feature gives the angler direct contact with the blank for total control and feel of what’s happening on the other end of the line.
The split-handle grip features EVA foam for positive handling in all kinds of situations. Reel seats are either Fuji VSS or ACS, depending on model. Guides are American Tackle titanium frames with diamond polished Nanolite inserts. The Titan frames are 60% lighter than stainless, and the Nanolite rings are 45% stronger and 2x harder than ceramic. Guide counts range from seven to nine, plus the tip, throughout the series for the ultimate in line control during casting, retrieving and fighting fish.
When you pickup a SuperLite you notice the reason for the name. It is just that, super light. You can’t help but smile thinking of how all this works in your favor during a day on the water, cast after cast after cast. All SuperLite PT rods are one piece. There are five handle styles, each being a perfect match to the type of action and intended use.
Lengths vary from 6'3" to 7'11" in casting, and from 6'6" to 7'4" in spinning. Actions are from medium-light to heavy. Accordingly, lure weights range from 1/8 ounce to 1 ½ ounce.

Quantum Aruba PTs Offshore Trolling Reel New high speed version Quantum’s Aruba PTs – the company’s first ever offshore, two-speed lever drag trolling reel – is now in available in high-speed.
Both the ALD20PTs and the ALD30PTs now also come in high-speed models with selectable two-speed drives - 4.2:1 and 2.7:1. The new reels are distinguished from the original Aruba’s by the addition of an “X” to their model numbers. The ALD20PTsX holds about 750 yards of 20 lb. test; the ALD30PTsX has a capacity for approximately 750 yards of 30 lb. line.
The three original models, including the wide-body ALD30WPTS, remain available with their selectable 3.2:1 and 1.7:1 drives. Aruba machined reels were introduced last year after three years in development, with the finest in engineering and design technologies going into their making. All five models now in the series share the same family traits; including the “no tool takedown” that has been the talk of the water.
Aruba reels have the finest bearings in saltwater with Quantum’s exclusive new Nitrogen-Alloy PT bearings. They last longer, crank smoother and provide greater protection from the corrosive environment than any others on the market. Three of the five bearings are dedicated to supporting the spool under even the heaviest load.
Another Aruba innovation is the reel’s exclusive dual-carbon drag system. It features two oversized carbon drag washers to deliver superior heat dissipation with a silky smooth performance no matter how long the run or heavy the load. Drag adjustment is easy, but out of the way with a “push and turn” outer ring on the palm side of the reel.
Aruba reels are constructed from CNC machined billet aluminum and feature precision-machined stainless steel PT gears. A double-anodized protective finish keeps them looking as good as they fish.
Specifics Include: Available in 3.2:1 and 1.7:1 drives, And high-speed 4.2:1 or 2.7:1 Exclusive dual-carbon drag system 5 nitrogen-alloy bearings Precision-machined SS PT gears
