Berkley announces a new brutally tough sinking super braid fishing line that combines extreme strength with ultra-high sensitivity. Compared to monofilament fishing lines, Gorilla Tough delivers half the diameter and twice the strength at a price that is sure to please anglers.

Gorilla Tough is a bi-component micro braid consisting of high tenacity microfiber Dyneema backbone with a colored polyester tracer filament. The combination creates an incredibly thin fishing line that is brutally tough and extremely strong yet is soft, with no memory and low stretch characteristics for a great handling line.

The line is resistant to side cutting, an important feature when hard fighting fish twist and turn and test the line and angler to the limits. It cuts thru weeds and vegetation, has zero water absorption and is extremely long lasting.

The 125 yd spools of Gorilla Braid come in line tests of 10-,20-,35-,50- and 80 lb test and is available in camo-green color. The 10 lb test has a 4 lb dia., the 20 lb test- 8 lb dia, 35/10, 50/14, and 80/20.

New Colors Created For Optimal Performance

The new Trilene Sensation monofilament fishing line from Berkley took the fishing scene by storm last year and has quickly become a favorite of both the touring professional angler and the weekend angler. Now Berkley introduces two new line colors, Solar and Photochromic, to meet the demands of anglers who want visual contact with their line for bite detection, as well as those anglers fishing in low light conditions.

Berkley Trilene Sensation delivers up to 30% greater sensitivity than competitive mono filaments, is 25% stronger and up to 70% more flexible for greater control. The line features low stretch manageability, small diameter and super strength. Sensation has less memory and increased casting control and is one of the strongest monofilaments in the Trilene line. It incorporates five different and unique polymers and a newly engineered extrusion process to deliver its enhanced properties.

The Photochromic line appears gold on the reel spool but has a fluorescent demeanor to the angler on the water. Beneath the surface the line looks clear, a big advantage when dealing with line shy fish. The new solar color is proven to be the most visible color to the human eye, even more visible than the popular hunter orange. The line will fluoresce in sunlight or under a black light for nighttime fishing.

A fish's mouth is filled with hundreds of super sharp knives. A fish's home is next to a jagged granite rock, beside a barnacle-covered pier or beneath a tree trunk with a heavy and deep bark covering. IronSilk, the new fishing line from Berkley, doesn't care. Polymer chemists working within the state of the art laboratories at Berkley have discovered a technical breakthrough that allows a way to molecularly reinforce nylon molecules. They refer to this chemistry as "Reinforced Polymer Matrix." The easiest way to visualize Reinforced Polymer Matrix technology is to think of it as being akin to the using of steel rebar to reinforce concrete. The low co-efficient of friction allows lronSilk to travel through rod guides 10-25% faster improving casting distance and accuracy. With no line memory like other tough lines, lronSilk lays out flat on the water, giving the angler more control over bait action whether using baitcasting or spinning tackle.

Stealth flows smoothly and quietly off the reel spool and shoots through the rod guides like a bullet for long, accurate casts. The secret to Stealth is its ultra thin, tight weave construction and Teflon® pressure-treated micro fibers. Unlike the 50-year old technology of wax coating braided lines, the Teflon treatment process used in Stealth permeates the entire braid and won't wear off. Use a Uni knot to join the monofilament to Stealth. Reel spools should not be overfilled and because of the near zero stretch of Stealth, anglers should back off the power when setting the hook. A lighter action rod is also encouraged.
