Smith & Wesson Classics: Model 21 Shooters Get Reacquainted with a Remake of this Hard-to-Find Classic With the stopping power needed for close-range combat, a fixed sight .44 Special revolver was a highly regarded sidearm in pre-magnum days. Smith & Wesson Classics: Model 22 Successor to the Popular Model of 1917 The Model of 1917, retired in 1949 after more than three decades of service to military efforts around the globe, underwent a makeover to become the S&W 1950 .45 Military. In 1957, this hand-ejector model chambered in .45 ACP became known as the Model 22. Since only small quantities of this model were made from 1952-1966, the Model 22 went from capable service revolver to a highly sought-after handgun by Smith & Wesson collectors. Now, this versatile handgun and successor to the famed Model of 1917 is being re-released by Smith & Wesson as part of the Smith & Wesson Classics line.
Constructed of carbon steel and built on a large frame, this six-shot .45 ACP revolver is available in three finishes: nickel, blue or color case-hardened. Building on the success of the Model of 1917 the Model 22 incorporates a short-throw hammer and is without a lanyard ring. At 9-1/4 inches long and weighing 36.8 ounces, this six-shot revolver is equipped with pinned half-moon service front sight and service rear sight on a 4-inch barrel. In addition to the Altamont Service Walnut grips, the Model 22 also comes with two six-shot full moon clips for rapid loading and ease of extraction.

This six-shot handgun chambered in .44 Magnum is made of carbon steel and weighs 48.5 ounces. Smith & Wesson 1000 Series Shotgun Automatic Shotguns Available in 12 or 20-Gauge The Smith & Wesson 1000 Series of semi-automatic shotguns incorporate unique designs and features that allow the shotguns to be lightweight, comfortable and among the most reliable self-loading shotguns on the market.
At the core of the new 1000 Series is the gas cylinder mechanism that has been uniquely engineered to reduce powder residue buildup, resulting in a shotgun that is capable of top performance even under the harshest conditions. The 1000 Series shotgun features chrome-lined barrels, five choke tubes and a four-piece shim kit for adjusting the stock to the shooter’s preference.
