Shear Magic by Mister Twister truly is shear magic when it comes to keeping weeds and moss off just about any trolling motor. It's another Mister Twister marvel that delivers worry free power and performance as it slices through lily pads, moss, hydrilla, even fishing line.

Basically, Shear Magic is a trolling motor accessory; it fits on the housing, and two blades come up real close to the prop. As the prop turns it feeds the weeds; grass, coon tail, moss, what ever into the blades, and the blades just shear it right off.

By design, a trolling motor will pull your boat through the water until aquatic vegetation binds the prop. Mister Twister has found a way to solve this with Shear Magic. The Shear Magic's housing is made of UV protective Polypropylene. The Blades are manufactured from UV protective glass-filled nylon, the same material used in the construction of chainsaw housings. This renders them nearly indestructible.

It really didn't surprise anybody when, during the filming of the Shear Magic video, the film crew had to stop production to install Shear Magic on the camera boat. Its trolling motor had collected so many weeds it just couldn't stay up with the Pro's boat that was equipped with Shear Magic.

Installation Instructions:

Disconnect the trolling motor from the power source.
2. Insert the blades into the holder with the flat side of the blade to the inside.
3. Tap the blades with a flat screwdriver until they snap into the locked position.
4. Spread the holder and place on the trolling motor with the blades facing the prop.
5. Slide the holder toward the prop until the blades are approximately 1/8" away from the base of the propeller.
6. Insert the appropriate size bolts (included) and attach the lock nuts.
7. Spin the prop to ensure that the propeller is not striking the blades.
8. Once you are sure the prop will not strike the blades, tighten the locking nuts and secure the Shear Magic in place.
9. Once the bolts are tightened, the Shear Magic will provide worry-free performance.

Fits trolling motors with a shaft diameter of 3.1 inches to 3.5 inches. This includes Minn Kota trolling motors with less than 40 lbs of thrust, Motorguide trolling motors, and all 12-volt trolling motors.

Model No. SM-L

Fits trolling motors with a shaft diameter of 3.6 inches to 3.8 inches. This includes Minn Kota trolling motors with more  than 40 lbs of thrust, Motorguide trolling motors, and all other 24-volt and 36-volt trolling motors.

Piranha Knife Warranty

The saltwater Piranha filet knife is warranted against defects and materials and workmanship for two years from date of original purchase. Mr. Twister reserves the right to repair or replace units that are returned during the warranty period if  (A) the unit is returned prepaid and (B) a dated sales receipt accompanies the merchandise. Do not return to the store. The warranty does not apply to units that show excessive wear, unreasonable or commercial use, or damage not resulting from normal expected use. Use of a blade not sold by Mr. Twister may alter the performance of the saltwater piranha and will void the warranty. Any alterations will void the warranty.

Non-warranty repairs will be handled for $10 per unit. Include your payment with the return merchandise. Repair service is available up to three years from the date of purchase.
