The Beretta Xtrema2 is widely heralded as having the most sophisticated system of recoil reduction available. Available as an option, Beretta’s new Kick-off reduction technology, featuring two hydraulic recoil dampers incorporated into the stock spacers, helps make the Xtrema2 the softest shooting shotgun in the world.
The auto-loader’s dependable gas system was designed specifically to handle hard-hitting 12-gauge 3½" shells. It also features the Optima-Bore overbored barrel which minimizes recoil and optimizes pattern efficiency, a spring/mass recoil reducer in the stock, and a Gel-Tek recoil pad to evenly distribute recoil over the entire surface of the pad. All together, the Xtrema2 reduces recoil an astounding 44% more than its closest rival.
The Xtrema2 also features Beretta’s patented Aqua finish technology. This new proprietary finish protects the gun from the nastiest weather found in any duck blind. All internal and external metallic components are constructed of advanced corrosive resistant materials. This means that the Xtrema2 can even standup to the coastal salt spray that would ruin traditional shotguns.
Beretta has redesigned the grip and fore-end to be even more ergonomic. Enlarged rubber molded inserts allow for greater grip surface and minimize transmission of vibrations. The trigger has also been improved. It provides an extremely crisp, light pull and short travel for quick follow-up shots. Also available for the Xtrema2 is a stock spacer system that allows shooters to adjust length-of-pull.
The Xtrema2 weighs 7.8 lbs, comes with a carry case, is available in 24, 26, or 28" barrel and comes in 12 ga.

S&W introduces its first long gun Smith & Wesson announced its initial entry into the long-gun market with the introduction of the M&P15, M&P15A and M&P15T rifles. These rifles are additions to the company’s Military & Police (M&P) series of firearms specifically engineered to meet the needs of global military and police personnel, as well as sporting shooters. The M&P Rifle Series is based upon a combat-proven design and incorporates standard features currently unmatched in other AR-15-type rifles.
The M&P15, M&P15A and the M&P15T (with its high-end accessory package) are rugged, lightweight, semi-automatic rifles with 16" barrels. Each rifle is chambered for 5.56mm NATO (.223) ammunition and features a single stage trigger with a 7 lb. trigger pull. Both the upper and lower receivers on the rifles are constructed with a tough 7071 T6 aluminum and each rifle is furnished with an A2 military fl ash suppressor. Reliability features of the gas-operated rifles include a chrome-lined gas key, bolt carrier and barrel.
The M&P Rifle Series is designed to accommodate a variety of shooting positions through the use of a six-position adjustable stock and each rifle features a barrel twist of 1 in 9". The M&P15 incorporates a traditional AR-15 design featuring a removable carry-handle and adjustable rear and front post sights, allowing for quick target acquisition and convenient handling. The black anodized rifle measures 35" long when fully extended and measures a compact 32" with the stock collapsed.
The M&P15 has an unloaded weight of 6.74 lbs. An identical version of the M&P15, the M&P15A, is available with a folding rear combat sight in place of the fl at-top handle. The M&P15T (tactical), features folding front and rear combat sights along with a four sided Picatinny forend. The front rail system on the M&P15T features custom Smith & Wesson handrails and is fully calibrated for easy accessory insertion and removal.
The M&P15T features a free floating, 16" chrome-lined barrel.
