Beretta adds new models to Handgun line ACCOKEEK, MD — Beretta’s famous handgun line expands further with the addition of four new models. Beretta handguns are steeped in American tradition, including the Beretta model M9, which is the official sidearm of US armed forces and is protecting our way of life. The Beretta model 92 is widely used by law enforcement and is one of the most recognized handguns in American culture.
Beretta handguns have been made in the U.S. for over two decades and represent American workmanship and quality. Beretta’s handgun line for 2004 is one of the most extensive in the industry. It offers choices for any type of shooter with the highest standard of Beretta quality.
New to the Beretta handgun line is the 92FS O.D. This limited production model 92 has all the same features of other FS models with an added olive drab Bruniton slide and matching anodized receiver. A contrasting matte black barrel, matte black components and black polymer grips set off the olive green color finish. The 92FS O.D. is chambered in 9mm and comes with two 10-round magazines.

Beretta U22 Neos Expands flexibility to a carbine Popular plinker accessory package converts handgun to carbine As promised, Beretta is releasing the carbine accessory package for its popular plinker. This package allows Neos owners the ability to convert their handgun to a carbine. The kit includes a long 16 1/4” barrel and a stock that replaces the pistol grip making the Neos the most advanced, flexible plinker handgun found anywhere.
“The Neos is not just a handgun but a platform for many other products for shooters,” says Gabriele de Plano, Vice President of Product Development for Beretta USA. “Owning a Neos gives the shooter many choices for shooting and hunting,” he says.
The Neos Carbine kit will use the same blowback action as the handgun shooting a .22LR rimfire cartridge. It has an aperture rear sight and a TruGlo front bead. The Weaver-style top rail accepts most any optics desired. The carbine also has the same features as the handgun such as easy loading 10-round magazine, ambidextrous safety, firing pin indicator and ergonomic design.

Beretta increases production of the new Cx4 Storm Carbine “The Storm sales for 2003 have gone far above all expectations,” says Gabriele de Plano, Vice President of Product Development for Beretta. “We simply have not been able to keep up with demand,” he says. This is a problem that Mr. de Plano says will be corrected in 2004 with the increase in production of the popular carbine. When asked why the Storm has been so popular Mr. de Plano explains that it is the right product at the right time.
The Storm is the future, built on one of the most innovative platforms, using cutting-edge materials and inventive design. It also reflects the past using the legendary combination of carbine and handgun chambered in the same caliber.
The Storm is available in three models that share the same calibers and magazines as the Beretta 9mm model 92 and 8000, the .40 S&W model 96 and 8040, and the .45 Auto model 8045 Cougar. The controls are also very similar to Beretta’s popular 92FS pistol; so many shooters will be immediately familiar with the Storm’s operation.

The Storm’s fixed barrel design and long sight radius (12.9") make this carbine inherently accurate. Those who have shot the storm shoot very good groups very quickly. The cold hammer forged 16.6" barrel is chrome lined for maximum barrel life. The carbine is lightweight at only 5.75 lbs. and compact with an overall length of 29.7". It has a semiautomatic blow back design that is rugged, reliable and can be easily field stripped without the use of tools. The cross-bolt safety, magazine button and bolt handle are reversible for right- or left-hand shooters. Spent cases can be ejected from either side and can be switched for right or left ejection without using tools or added parts.
High-strength technopolymer material provides reduced weight, corrosion resistance and a finish more durable than blued metals. The Storm's firing pin and hammer block system prevents movement until the trigger is pulled and the bolt safety will not allow the Storm to fire should it be dropped or struck against an object.
Accessories such as a laser sight or tactical light can be quickly mounted on a retractable forward rail that extends forward from the fore-end. Also available are hard mounted “Picatinny” rails that fit the side, top and bottom and will accept optics, lights, lasers and vertical grips. One side rail is included. The Storm comes standard with a front post sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation, and a rear sight that has long- and short-range apertures. Both sights fold down and are protected by a rugged “ear” system.
Also available in 2004 are a waterproof case, a hard case and a soft padded case. There also is a new sling available. The Cx4 Storm is popular because it is the future and of firearm technology combined to meet the needs of law enforcement, home defense and sport shooters. It is the perfect carbine to be carried with a Beretta pistol while on duty, at the range or to protect your home. It is the right product, at the right price and developed at the right time.
