Buck Silver Creek Large Fillet Knife Delivers Great Flexibility and Durability Strengthening their leadership role in the hunting and fishing department, Buck Knives has introduced the new Silver Creek fishing knife. This new series delivers a great combination of ideal flexibility and rugged durability.
The full-tang blade made is of 420J2 stainless steel coated with titanium for extra flexibility, strength and corrosion resistance, and hardened to Rc 53-55 for easier sharpening. A stainless steel guard lets you apply more downward pressure while cutting. The ergonomically shaped handle has a thermoplastic base with a rubber overmold for comfort and anti-slip ridges for sure grip.
This large size model has a 9-5/8" blade, is 14-3/8" long and weighs 5.3 oz. This Silver Creek Large Fillet knife, with a serrated backbone comes in a sleek, injection-molded plastic sheath with an integrated belt clip and a stylized drainage hole. With SafeSpin Deployment System Knives that open with one hand are convenient, but if you're wearing gloves it can be a challenge. Not so with the innovative new Model 750 Redpoint folder introduced by Buck Knives.
Thanks to Buck's SafeSpin blade rotator (built into the end of the blade) you can open the Redpoint with one finger, never touching the blade. Just pull back on the over-sized button on the handle to disengage the lock and open the blade. The button lock on the handle functions as a safety feature, locking and unlocking the blade, in both the open and closed positions.
The 2¾" blade of the Redpoint, made of Buck's preferred 420HC stainless steel, is a partially serrated drop-point. The All-Weather Grip handle is thermoplastic with a rubber overmold for comfort and control.
