Berkley FireLine – Improved to resist fraying & colorfast World’s Strongest Superline Enhanced Now the world’s strongest superline is improved with better colorfastness and improved resistance to fraying. Berkley FireLine is the only superline to meet or exceed the rated test at the Palomar knot across all pound tests. The small diameter FireLine has the same high sensitivity and smooth handling as before and is the best superline for spinning tackle.
FireLine has top rated knot strength giving the angler more confidence for the hook set and fish handling. The strength of FireLine, along with low stretch, provides a more positive hook set with greater impact resistance. This non-braided superline is favored by both fresh and saltwater anglers for its ease of casting, rugged durability and comfortable handling.
FireLine is available in smoke and flame green colors. With the improved formulation the flame green color is brighter and more visible to the angler than before.
Line sizes of FireLine range from 4 lb test/1 lb diameter to 30 lb test/12 lb diameter.
About $15.45 for a 125 yd spool About $29.95 for a 300 yd spool About $92.45 for the 1,000 yd spool

Berkley Vanish Transition Fluorocarbon Line The World’s Only Fishing Line That Is Virtually Invisible Underwater Yet Transitions To Hi-Vis Gold Above Water Surface When Exposed To Sunlight Vanish, America’s favorite fluorocarbon fishing line, just took a quantum leap forward with a technological break through in fishing line performance. Berkley has created Vanish Transition, a unique and innovative fishing line three years in the making. When exposed to sunlight, clear Transition physically turns to a hi-vis color, for better line tracking and detection of bites. But once Transition hits the water it returns to its clear color, just like original Vanish, making the line virtually invisible below the surface to both angler and fish.
Transition with its unique chameleon properties assists anglers when line visibility is important as in clear water and the passive techniques of finesse, jig and worm fishing. Yet seeing subtle bites is every bit as important as feeling them to many anglers in these conditions. The bite of some finicky fish must to be visualized to be detected. They are nearly impossible to feel. The deep gold line color stands out, plainly visible to anglers. Fish aren’t spooked and anglers can detect strikes faster.
The difference of line color before and after exposure to light
Transition has a clear appearance in the package on the store shelf and will keep that appearance as long as it is kept out of sunlight. The optical additive engineered into the fluorocarbon changes to the gold color when exposed to sunlight or UV light. The optical systems molecules change their molecular structure undergoing a temporary chemical change. Once the light is removed, the chemical process is reversed and the line returns to the clear state.
Transition retains all of the characteristics of the improved Vanish formula; strength, smooth casting, low memory formulation and fewer backlashes. Fluorocarbon line does not absorb water and maintains 100 % of its knot and line strength when wet. Vanish is more flexible and has a higher knot strength than before. It is more abrasion-resistant/ and has higher sensitivity compared to most nylon monofilament lines. Because the line is denser the line sinks allowing for deeper running baits with less bow in the line.
Transition is available is line sizes from 4- to 50 lb test.

Berkley Trilene XL – New, Improved Formulation World’s Most Popular Monofilament Improved Berkley Trilene XL, the most trusted name in fishing line, has a new formulation. For the eighth time in the history of Trilene the formula for the popular monofilament fishing line has been improved. Anglers will still have the same castability, smoothness and low memory of Trilene XL but with 15 % stronger strike strength without compromising sensitivity.
John Weiss, Director of Product Innovation at Berkley, stated, “Every day when our folks in research come to work they have one crystal clear goal in mind – to design, engineer and manufacture the best fishing line possible. With Trilene we will not sit still – it’s about continual improvement. Making the best better.” Weiss went on to state, “We have developed a process where we can naturally enhance the impact abilities of our Trilene XL formula and we are very excited to be able to deliver an enhanced performance to literally millions of anglers who will be enjoying the benefits in their fishing experiences.”
Strength and handling are the two most important features fishermen look for in a fishing line. And Trilene XL has always given the angler more confidence to catch more fish.

Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon Leader Material Berkley Vanish 100% Fluorocarbon Leader Material is available in 2 through 100 lb test on convenient 25 – 50v yd leader coils. Simply slide Berkley’s new leader wheel over the wrist for complete control when stripping off the necessary amount of leader material. This eliminates the struggle to control line and leader tangles or dropped spools when fishing in rough water. The coil also keeps leaders straighter with less twist.
Vanish Fluorocarbon is more flexible and ties better knots than any other 100% fluorocarbon leader on the market. Vanish Fluorocarbon leaders won’t lose strength when wet nor weaken from UV rays like nylon leaders. Vanish fluorocarbon leaders are tough and resistance to abrasion, are nearly invisible to spooky fish and are denser than nylon for deeper running.
The suggested retail price of Vanish leader material starts at $8.49.

Spiderwire Stealth - Braided Fishing Line Monofilament Manageability and Body with Spiderwire Strength and Sensitivity Pure Fishing says it’s the world's strongest, thinnest, most sensitive family of fishing lines. Now Spiderwire introduces new Spiderwire Stealth, quiet, smooth casting superbraid.
Stealth flows smoothly and quietly off the reel spool and shoots through the rod guides like a bullet for long, accurate casts. The secret to Stealth is its ultra thin, tight weave construction and Teflon pressure-treated micro fibers. Unlike the 50-year old technology of wax coating braided lines, the Teflon treatment process used in Stealth permeates the entire braid and won't wear off. The line maintains its reliable round cross-section cast after cast.
Stealth fishes like a monofilament line. It won't "dig in" to the reel spool, cut rod guides or destroy reel guide parts. With Stealth, there are no more worries about whip-knotting or low knot strength. And backlash frustrations fly out the window.
Stealth has exceptional knot performance, but for best results a Palomar knot is recommended. In addition, anglers are urged to lay down a monofilament backing (such as Spiderwire Super Mono XXX) on reel spools before loading Stealth to prevent line slippage on the reel spool. Use a Uni knot to join the monofilament to Stealth. Reel spools should not be overfilled and because of the near zero stretch of Stealth, anglers should back off the power when setting the hook. A lighter action rod is also encouraged.
Available in 150-yd and 300-yd spools, in tracer yellow and moss green. Line strengths range from a 10 lb test line with 2-lb test monofilament diameter to a 100 lb test line with 20 lb test monofilament diameter.
Features include: No whip-knots High knot strength Smooth casting Teflon pressure-treated Near zero stretch High test vs. low diameter 150-yd and 300-yd spools Colors: Tracer yellow and Moss green
About $15.45 for the 10/2- 150 yd spool to $36.95 for the 100/20-yd spool.
