Frabill Stow Series Storm Gear
Easily the best packable raingear available to anglers
picture of part

Wikipedia defines a raincoat as, “ waterproof or water-resistant coat worn to protect the body from rain. A rain jacket may be combined with a pair of rain pants to make a rain suit.” (My times have chang....citing Wikipedia as an “ official” source of information.)

In fishing, we prefer the term “raingear” - a matched top and bottom. And at the core of raingear performance is this simple little notion of keeping you dry - raindrops outside, happiness inside. Beyond that, differentiators from suit to suit and brand to brand range from multiple layers of space-age fabrics to a precious little viewfinder on the wrist to apparently Snap Chat while you’re fishing.

Frabill says never mind the bullocks. New for 2016, the company that redefined fishing-specific raingear, ushers in the most sensible, peak-performance and light-on-your-wallet raingear to date: the Stow Series.

As the name implies, it’s stowable. That doesn’t mean cramming a moldy suit back in the clear plastic bag it came in - Frabill saves that torture-treatment for the other guys. Rather, the Stow Series literally packs back into itself. The left-hand pocket of the pants becomes its own storage. Same goes for the left-hand pocket of the jacket. Easy as that.

So, you know the Stow Series packs like a pro and travels like a champ. But that’s only the icing on the cake. At the root of all Frabill outerwear is fabric selection. Frabill uses the highest-quality and most technologically advanced materials across all of it’s outerwear models, raingear and winterwear.

The Stow Series marries a trio of technologies to create total waterproofness and breathability. The outer shell is constructed of durable Nylon ripstop fabric. Beneath that lies a waterproof and breathable membrane. Sealing the deal is a topical treatment of Scotchgard, providing a powerful first line of defense against moisture. All told, with seams 100% sealed, Stow Series is a veritable safe-house for anglers.

Features on the jacket abound. Large outer pockets with zipper closures accommodate fistfuls of gear. The main zipper is protected by a pair of storm flaps, the innermost with a rain gutter to stream water droplets away. A two-way adjustable, waterproof hood with reinforced brim/sun visor eases your eyes from squinting as well as water dripping off the tip of your nose.

A-grade accoutrements continue with an adjustable bungee cord at the hem for a precise fit and internal elastic sleeve cuffs to keep comfortably snug at the wrists. A side-seam D-ring is perfectly placed for tethering your corded kill-switch or trolling motor remote. Augmenting safety, the Frabill Stow Series features 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material on the front and back. Last but not least, all Stow Series zippers are branded YKK or SBS, not nameless bargain-bin componentry.

The Stow Series pants are equally exceptional. Like last year’s revolutionary F-1 Series Storm Gear release, the Stow Series pants feature removable, full-elastic shoulder straps. So if you prefer the feel of pants over bibs, simply shed the shoulder straps. The pant cuffs are also adjustable with cuff-to-knee, half-length leg zippers for easy in and out.

Wear it. Stow it. Stay dry. That’s how Frabill fishes.

Frabill Dual Bait Bucket
Houses two types of bait within one cool container
picture of part

No matter how fancy and sophisticated we anglers think we’ve become, the age-old refrain still generally distills down to the same familiar response: minnows or ‘crawlers.

Problem solved. That is, Frabill-the legendary bait care company-just solved the storage side of the equation, thanks to their new Dual Bait Bucket; part awesome aerated baitwell, part worm, leech, cricket, larvae or goodness-knows-what-else container, the Dual Bait Bucket houses two types of bait within a single self-contained, well . . . container.

Say bye-bye to crushed Styrofoam tubs, lost lids and most importantly, dead bait. Frabill’s Dual Bait Bucket keeps minnows cool and frisky inside 1.3 gallons of insulated, optimally aerated water. Clipped snugly astride, a portable Frabill aerator reliably feeds continuous oxygenation through a connected tube and micro diffuser.

Separately, to safely and smartly stow nightcrawlers or other bait, a specialized built-in lid compartment keeps the critters equally chilled and cheerful. The two compartments are totally isolated because, seriously, no one wants worm poop mixing with their minnows. Think of it as a livebait duplex-both tenants mostly unaware of either’s existence but living in perfect harmony under one roof.

Specifics Include:
#4823 Dual Bait Bucket
1.3 Gallon Capacity
Insulated Liner
Built-in Compartment Lid
Aerator Clip-on Bracket
Hose Hole in Lid
Includes Clip-on Aerator
Lid features a built-in compartment

Frabill Bait Bucket
Frabill’s new Bait Bucket and Insulated Bait Bucket form foundation for overhauled line in 2016
picture of part

Anglers everywhere owe a debt of gratitude to Frabill for pioneering the first modern bait pail. Perfected with a few well-engineered enhancements, the legendary second generation yellow-topped Frabill Bait Bucket has been a boon to bait fishermen for several decades now, while serving as a platform for a variety of enhanced companion products.

For 2016, the familiar Frabill Bait Bucket has grown even more functional. The company’s entire line has been overhauled, resulting in five new bucket options, each featuring new, more durable construction and a series of innovative new lid designs.

The new Model 4820 Bait Bucket and Model 4822 Insulated Bait Bucket form the foundation for Frabill’s brilliant bucketology.

These economical and durable baseline models feature updated lids that are stronger and more secure. A flip-top design provides easy, one-handed access to the bucket’s bounty. Both models are aerator-ready, sporting an integral clip-on bracket and hose hole to accept Frabill’s affordable and hardworking Model 14202 Portable Aerator without modification.

Frabill’s new Bait Bucket and Insulated Bait Bucket are two of five all-new innovative and economical bait bucket designs for 2016; a series that also includes the Drainer Bait Bucket, Aerated Bait Bucket, and Dual Bait Bucket.

Frabill Aerated Bait Bucket
Offers lid-housed aerator in smaller, 1.3-gallon footprint
picture of part

New for 2016, Frabill’s Model 4825 Aerated Bait Bucket holds 1.3 gallons (5.2 quarts) and offers anglers a smart alternative to clip-on aerators without having to move up in size to the 6-Gallon Aqua-Life Bait Station. Now anglers have the option of a top-performing bait with built-in lid aerator but in a smaller footprint - great for bank fishing and reducing clutter in any watercraft.

Also, given increasing invasive species regulations, anglers are becoming more conservative with how they utilize live bait. It’s now common for anglers to keep several oxygenated bags of minnows on the ready in a cooler, only breaking them open as needed. Frabill’s new Model 4825 Aerated Bait Bucket is the perfect container for this kind of fishing.

Frabill’s new Aerated Bait Bucket also conveniently fits into most consumer refrigerators to extend bait life even longer for multi-day fishing trips - or just keeping bait on the ready. The built-in lid aerator was designed from the ground up for years of solid, quiet and bulletproof performance. The motor is both quiet and powerful, but in a scaled down footprint.

Features also include an insulated liner to keep water temperature stable, a built-in compartment for lid-housed aerator, two- or four- AA battery operation, and much more.

Specifics Include:
#4825
1.3 Gallon Capacity
Insulated Liner
Built-in Compartment Lid
Lid Housed Aerator
Aerator Clip-on Bracket
Hose Hole in Lid
20 hours aeration run time, 2-AA batteries
30-40 hours aeration run time, 4-AA batteries

Frabill redesigns the classic Drainer Bait Bucket
Lifts and Separates, Supports Minnows and Dry Feet
picture of part

Your dad probably had one; grandpa, more than likely; great grandfather, for sure. And they’ve always worked without fail.
What are we talking about? The drainer minnow bucket. You know, the metal or plastic bait pail with separate, inner strainer tub that fits snugly inside. The latter you lift to grab minnows without dunking your hand, or take all the way out while scooping fresh water from the drink to help keep the dozens of little heavy breathers happy. It’s a simple design that has stood the test of time, to say the least.

But earlier models weren’t perfect. Every time the sieve was lifted from its outer armor, water would literally shoot out from the sides and soak your feet while pouring onto the boat’s floor. And then there’s the case of taking multiple types of live bait to the lake and having containers scattered here and there, or always searching for your tiny tote full of terminal tackle or jig heads.

With these bait fishing burdens fresh in your brain, let us introduce you to Frabill’s new Drainer Bait Bucket, redesigned for 2016 to keep water where it belongs, and to provide storage for more than just minnows.

The new-and-improved Drainer Bait Bucket’s lid also comes complete with a clip-on bracket for an external aerator (sold separately) and hose hole so air stones stay put and hoses don’t become kinked-perfect for keeping those expensive minnows alive when transporting from the bait shop to the lake.

Specifics Include:
#4800 Drainer Bait Bucket
2 Gallon Capacity
Built-in Compartment Lid
Interior Minnow Trap
Aerator Clip-on Bracket
Hose Hole in Lid

Frabill Aqua-Life Bait Station
Breathes new life into managing healthier minnows
picture of part

Of all types of live bait, minnows, by far, are the hardest to keep vivacious. Extreme fluctuations in water temperature, impurities in too little water as well as the obvious expiration of oxygen can turn a bucket of once active little fishes into a container of floating bloaters.

Frabill’s answer to the dead minnow dilemma is the 1469 Aqua-Life Bait Station – the new younger, tougher sibling of the ever-popular original 1409. The 1469 is a remarkably lightweight yet sturdy 6-gallon self-contained baitfish condo that keeps an environment of up to 10 quarts of water in perfect tune. Bait from a massive passel of perch minnows to a load of full-size suckers won’t even know they’ve left the pond.

A powerful and ultra-quiet built-into-the-lid air pump efficiently aerates bottom to top via a removable micro-bubbler diffuser. And the pump runs strong all day long, whether powered by only two D-call batteries while you’re on the water, the 12-volt adaptor for transporting in your vehicle or vessel or by an optional 120-volt adaptor for storing minnows overnight (or days on end) in the garage.

The Aqua-Life Bait Station comes lined with a heavy-duty removable insulated liner to keep water temperatures from those drastic rises and falls that can make minnows turn belly up. Its lid clamps tight to the bucket to keep splash-overs at bay, as well as the pump safe and secure in a waterproof compartment for years of service. The 1469 Aqua-Life Bait Station even sports an accessory hook for securing a minnow dipping net.

Looking to breathe new life into fishing with minnows? Search no further than Frabill’s 1469 Aqua-Life Bait Station.
